ΜΑΝΙΑΤΙΚΗ ΑΡΤΟΠΟΙΕΙΑ

(Gytheio, Mani) I am saying this bakery is Gytheio, but it’s more on the way on the main road heading from Sparta to Gythio. This is the place for you to get the most amazing lalagias – fried strings of dough that are like a savory funnel cake (or sort of like a soft pretzel) of happiness. You grab a bag and take it to the sea and live your best life. They make them soft or hard and the soft ones go fast. So if you grab pre-beach you may be ok, after your beach day you are taking a risk. The staff is super friendly and they can make you a coffee, have a great variety of ice creams too. I should warn you – these are really addictive. I have not seen a lalagia outside of the Mani region – so don’t miss your chance.
